Gates Green Folk Dance Club was started in the late 1980's by Charlie Learthart who was a keen member of both Beckenham and Orpington Folk Dance Clubs. It began for a small number of newcomers to introduce them to Folk Dance . When Charlie was unable to continue through ill-health Ruth and Dennis Badger took the helm and the club was named "Lets sort it Out club".  By this time the numbers had grown with dancers from Beckenham and Orpington clubs and now is attended by 20 or more each week. Newcomers are always welcome. The dances are explained and a caller reminds of the moves during the dance. We are a friendly club and meet Monday evenings from 8pm to 10pm at the Assembly Halls, Gates Green Road, Coney Hall, West Wickham.
